Dining on world-famous Cape Cod is a wonderful opportunity to dine on excellent food prepared in a variety of styles, often served in the midst of a beautiful setting. Whether it is lobster served with a water view or a quick burger at a fast food eatery, you have hundreds of choices on Cape Cod.

Do you prefer your dinner to be casual or fancy? A vegetarian salad or a great barbecue sandwich? A fried fish sandwich or a lobster dinner? Do you want a fabulous gourmet meal in candlelight, or fast food with the kids? It’s all here on sandy Cape Cod.

Waterfront restaurants, offering views of endless sky and water, are dotted along Cape coastal areas. They range from elegant restaurants offering superb seafood and steak to the simplest lobster huts and family-style restaurants, where local specialties like lobster rolls and frappes (known as milkshakes in some parts), share the menu with hamburgers, fried fish, chicken, and salads.

The Cape’s 13 towns all have enjoyable centers that boast excellent restaurants in every price range. Some are family or chef owned; others are chain restaurants that can be refreshingly familiar, especially if there are young children in the family. Historic districts, such as those located along famed Route 6A, have wonderful restaurants, often located in historic inns and taverns. In many of these, you’ll find local ingredients, such as salad greens, which are grown in abundant local farms.

Seafood and steak share the limelight here, but you’ll also find a range of ethnic food, including Italian, Thai, Chinese, French, Mexican, Japanese, Jamaican, and Brazilian.

Don’t forget our own Galley Grille at the Captains Golf Course!

Beloved American standards are here as well. Many restaurants, especially family owned eateries, pride themselves with serving excellent breakfasts. Or you can eat while you watch a game on a TV and sip a cold drink. Other times you may want to enjoy ice cream or lobster rolls at one of the many open-air stands.

Wherever you dine, you’re sure to take home a wonderful memory, and maybe even some new ideas for cooking at home!
