Local Rules

If the course you are playing has been aerated, you may lift, clean and place your ball within one club-length in your own fairway.

In accordance with the USGA and R&A the following local rule will also apply:

If your ball is in an aeration hole on the putting green, or in the fairway you may place your ball at the nearest point that is not in an aeration hole and not nearer to the hole.

Distance Measuring Devices – We do allow the use of distance measuring devices for all of our club events.

Ground Under Repair – Areas marked with white lines (Free relief within one club-length of nearest point of relief, no nearer the hole).

Roads & Cart Paths – Roads and paths are considered obstructions only if they are artificially surfaced. A road or path to which any foreign material, e.g., concrete, tar, gravel, wood chips, etc., has been applied is artificially surfaced and thus an obstruction. You may take a free drop from an obstruction within one club-length of the nearest point of relief, no nearer the hole.

Therefore, if a road or path is not artificially surfaced or marked with white lines, you must play the ball as it lies.

Cart Path Extensions -Cart paths and extensions thereof and worn areas bordering cart paths are immovable obstructions.

Penalty Areas – Marked with red staked/lined areas on #5 Port and #5 Starboard, the area left of the cart path on #8 Port and the ponds on #8 and #14. You may take lateral relief in these areas. On Port #5 and Starboard #5, there are drop areas that may be used as an additional relief option.
