• Call to order.

 

• Declaration of a quorum – five commissioners were present.

 

• Meeting participation statement

 

• Recording Statement – As required by the Open Meeting Law, we are informing you that the Town will be video and audio taping as well as broadcasting this public meeting. In addition, if anyone else intends to either video or audio tape this meeting, they are required to inform the Chair.

 

• Public announcements and comments – none.

 

• Discussion and vote on recommendation to select board on the number of new non-resident members
  1. On January 27, 2025 the select board voted on accepting 25 new nonresident members for 2025 year. Retroactively, the golf commission recommends 25 new nonresident members to the select board.
  2. There was discussion regarding the possibility of various categories for nonresident memberships.

 

• Golf Genius purchase by the golf department – Mary Berzinis
  2. Mary was unable to attend and asked for this to be moved to 2.11.25 meeting. Motion was made and approved.

 

• Presentation on the fortieth anniversary – Gerry Healy
  1. The book is nearly complete. Stories and articles are being submitted regarding relationships and friendships that have been made at the Captains Golf Course.
  2. Jay Packett communicated other items that are being considered to commemorate the date.

 

• FY26 budget discussion – Jay Packett
  1. Jay provided a spreadsheet with details regarding current and future costs. There was a discussion regarding several line items.
  2. A motion was made to approve the draft budget for 2026 which was approved unanimously.

 

• Discussion on financial forecast and capital improvement plan – Jay Paggi
  1. Jay shared his thoughts regarding projects, costs, and future responsibilities.

• Review and approve minutes 1.14.25
  2. This will be done at the 2.11.25 meeting.

  1. Presentation on updates regarding the maintenance building
