2009 Commissioners Cup

Date: October 18, 2009

40 Players from Captains play match play against 40 players from Cranberry Valley. Half the field plays at Cranberry and the other half plays at Captains. The team is made up of 32 men and 8 women.

One best ball of a 4-person team, 90% handicap. Teams may consist of 1 member & 3 guests; 2 members & 2 guests; 3 members & 1 guest; or 4 members.

2009 MATCH PLAY CHAMPIONSHIP

Date: July 01, 2009-September 20, 2009

Single elimination match play format, 100% handicap. This is open to any adult Captains Golf Course member with a verifiable handicap. Players must have at least ten 18-hole scores posted during the 12-month period prior to July 1, 2009 in order to be eligible. The first match must be completed by July 12th and the final match will be completed by September 20th.

Match Play. Men's Championship plays at scratch from the blue tees. Men's Senior Championship plays at scratch from the white tees. Women's Championship plays at scratch from the red tees. Net Flights play at 100% handicap.

2009 Couples Championship

Date: July 11, 2009

Two person teams. Each player tees off. The team then selects a tee shot. The player's ball that was not selected hits the next shot. The players then alternate hitting from that point until the ball is holed out. Handicaps are determined by taking 50% of the combined team handicap.

This is a MATCH PLAY tournament, one best ball of the 2-person team. Six 2-person teams will make up a flight and you play a 9-hole match against each team in your flight. There will be three 9-hole matches on Saturday (27 holes) and two 9-hole matches on Sunday (18 holes). Points are awarded for winning a hole and the team with the most points in each flight wins their flight.

This is a 9-hole tournament, Bramble format. Teams consist of 4 players. All players tee off, then the best drive is selected. Each player plays their own ball from that point. The lowest net score on the hole is the team score. Handicaps are at 70% of your 9-hole handicap. Sign up individually and we make up the teams.
