2010 Club Championships

Date: July 31, 2010-August 07, 2010

54 hole Stroke Play (3 rounds). No handicaps in the Men's, Women's, Senior, and Junior Championship Flights. 100% handicap in the Net Flights. There will be a cut after the first two rounds to the low 18 players in each flight or those within 10 strokes of the leader.

2010 Member/Member

Date: May 15, 2010-May 16, 2010

Round robin, Match Play. There will be six teams in a flight and each team will play every team in their flight once. Matches will be 9-holes with points awarded for each hole won or halved and a point for winning a match. The winners of each flight will be determined by accumulated points. Each team will play three 9-hole matches on Saturday and two 9-hole matches on Sunday. ALL PLAYERS PLAY FROM THE WHITE TEES (except those 75 or older may play from the gold tees). Sign up in the pro shop.

2010 Match Play Championship

Date: July 01, 2010-September 30, 2010

Single elimination match play, 100% handicap. Strokes allotted off of the low person's handicap. This tournament is open to any adult member of the Captains Golf Course with a current USGA handicap with at least 10 scores posted in the twelve month period prior to July 1, 2010. The field is limited to the first 64 players to sign-up.

2010 Couples Championship

Date: July 10, 2010

Alternate shot format. Both players tee off, then choose the best drive and then the person who did not hit the selected drive hits the second shot and you alternate until the ball is holed out. Handicaps will be at 40% of the combined team handicap. Prizes will be awarded for both gross and net.

Date: July 25, 2010

Alternate shot format. Open to any Parent/Child team, Father or Mother In-Law/Son or Daughter In-Law team, or Grandparent/Grandchild team. At least one player must be a member of the Captains Golf Course. Sign up deadline is July 21st or the first 30 teams.

Best ball of the two person team, 90% handicap. Flight A will have one Gross Prize and the remainder net. All other flights will be Net only. PAIRING REQUESTS WILL BE ACCEPTED FOR SATURDAY'S ROUND, Sunday pairings will be based on Saturday's results. All players must have a verifiable handicap to participate. The Registration Form must be fully completed when you sign up. The deadline for registration is Monday, September 4th. Your entry fee includes green fees for your guest both days ($132 value); carts both days ($66 value); coffee & donuts both days ($10 value); barbecue lunch on Saturday ($30 value); prizes (think positive); guaranteed 8:30 a.m. tee time both days (priceless); not to mention a lot of fun.

40 Players from Captains play match play against 40 players from Cranberry Valley. Half the field plays at Cranberry and the other half plays at Captains. The team is made up of 32 men and 8 women.

2009 MATCH PLAY CHAMPIONSHIP

Single elimination match play format, 100% handicap. This is open to any adult Captains Golf Course member with a verifiable handicap. Players must have at least ten 18-hole scores posted during the 12-month period prior to July 1, 2009 in order to be eligible. The first match must be completed by July 12th and the final match will be completed by September 20th.

This is a MATCH PLAY tournament, one best ball of the 2-person team. Six 2-person teams will make up a flight and you play a 9-hole match against each team in your flight. There will be three 9-hole matches on Saturday (27 holes) and two 9-hole matches on Sunday (18 holes). Points are awarded for winning a hole and the team with the most points in each flight wins their flight.

This is a 9-hole tournament, Bramble format. Teams consist of 4 players. All players tee off, then the best drive is selected. Each player plays their own ball from that point. The lowest net score on the hole is the team score. Handicaps are at 70% of your 9-hole handicap. Sign up individually and we make up the teams.
